Neo Chorio Chania

  • The White Mountains from Neo Chorio
Neo Chorio lies between Armenoi and Stylos, on the Armenoi plain. It has two small tavernas, a mini market and four coffee shops. The area is agricultural due to the fertile plains and underground streams and rivers. The pace of life is slow and festivals take place in the area in July and Augusts with live Cretan music and dancing. The larger town of Armenoi is one km away and has a butcher, bakery, mini market, kafeneion and four tavernas serving traditional local dishes. The sandy blue flag beaches of Kalyves are a short drive away.
