| Crete is so much more than a summer destination. Not only is there a growing interest in purchasing second homes but many people would like to experience the unique Cretan winter before committing to purchasing a property on the island. We have several properties which are available for long or short term winter lets and can also arrange very good deals on car hire. The average daytime temperature remains between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. Village accommodations with roaring olive wood fires ,cosy local traditional eateries, and true friendly Cretan welcomes make for a wonderful relaxing break from the stress of modern day living. Inspection Visits If you are planning to view accommodation through a real estate agent, or would like to see different areas to assess your property purchase options, we can organise accommodation and car hire for you. We also have contacts with local agencies and developers and can assist with your search and arrange a schedule for viewing property in advance of your arrival on the island. Long Term Lets Sometimes there may be an unavoidable delay, particularly with renovation projects or new builds. Because of our local knowledge, our ability to communicate in Greek and established contacts, we can often find suitable medium term rentals that could otherwise be very difficult to locate. Winter Rentals The winter in Crete is very different. You can experience the tranquility and peace of the real Crete, where kafeneions serve hot pea soup and stew pots filled with goat and organic vegetables are constantly on the boil. Where the community comes together to make the raki and collect the olive crop. The carpets of yellow flowers in the olive groves that open at dawn and wilt at dusk to define the olive pickers hours of work. Roaring log fires accompanied by local wine from the barrel and the sound of laughter and debate on every street corner.
